Galop grows and challenges police entrapment
1983 – First worker appointed as campaign gathers steam
As Galop appointed its first full time worker and gained funding for special projects including the ‘Black project’, the police ran operations in which they posed as gay men outside gay pubs in Earls Court and entrapped gay men for ‘importuning. Galop began campaigning against this.
